Sometimes you just want to play something different, especially if you are planning a golf trip to Las Vegas. Most golfers hope to have an exciting experience , and different and more from what their home course gives them on a weekly basis. That’s why we like to travel to different destinations to play golf, we want to be inspired and have that feel that excitement and anticipation of playing a cool new golf course.
One of the coolest golf experiences in Vegas is Royal Links Golf Club, a European/British Links Style golf course with holes inspired from famous British Open Courses. Lets be clear this is NOT a replica course, nor should it be considered as one. However, each hole does offer a glimpse into true “Links Style” golf, like the courses in the UK.
Expect fast and firm conditions, deep sod-walled bunkers, hidden bunkers you can’t see from the tee, deep-roughs if you hit an errant shot, and dunes like mounding and features which resemble the storied layouts they represent. Get ready for great golf holes like “Road Hole” from St. Andrews, complete with the over-the-scoreboard tee shot, and nasty greenside bomb-hole of a bunker. Also enjoy awesome holes like “Postage Stamp” from Royal Troon with its 6 foot deep green-side bunker, and postage stamp sized green.
Why Should You Make a Tee Time at Royal Links Golf Club?
- Totally different golf than anything in Vegas, very “Linksy ” feeling golf.
- Fast and firm playing conditions.
- A unique experience, not just another golf course that looks and plays like the last one.
- Cool castle clubhouse, adds to the feel of the stone clubhouses in the UK.
- High-end service and great pub food.
- Real Guinness and Newcastle on tap.
- Par-Mates female caddie program a fun Vegas-style option.
Staff Insider Tip – Everytime we book a tee time at Royal I get excited and totally look forward to the day. The golf course is really well done byt Dye Designs, and is a ton of fun to play. You can play running shots with the firm conditions, and its a hoot to watch friends play out of the crazy deep bunkers. Dont be afraid to count above 10, and also sometimes hitting you shot backwards is the only logical play.
